Kensington was founded in 1996 and has become a leading independent Canadian private equity fund of funds manager. In 2002, Kensington established the first Canadian fund of funds focused on the Canadian private equity buyout mid-market sector. Kensington has also developed relationships with several leading private equity managers in the U.S. and Europe and the Kensington directors also have extensive experience in the international fund of funds business. Kensington’s only business is active private equity investing on behalf of the private funds of funds which it establishes. Kensington is wholly-owned by its employees, thereby aligning their interests with those of the firm and each of the funds which Kensington has established.
