Christopher Brown (Chief Investment Officer / Compliance Officer / President of Kensington Securities Inc.): Mr. Brown has been a member of the Investment Committee since 2006 and he is the Managing Director and head of Compliance for Kensington Capital Advisors Inc. He entered the securities industry as an institutional sales representative in 1973 following five years as a systems engineer with IBM Canada. He worked with predecessor firms of Merrill Lynch Canada Inc., Nesbitt Burns and UBS and has had extensive experience in all aspects of equity research. At that time, he chaired the Toronto Stock Exchange’s index committee and developed the industry’s definitive performance and attribution product, which is still published to this day. In 1993, he left Bunting Warburg to join Toronto Dominion Securities Inc. as Managing Director, Institutional Equities where he co-led TD’s entrance into the institutional equities business. In 1999, he moved into the income products and proprietary trading area as Managing Director, Institutional Equities and Structured Finance and also sat on the dealer’s risk management committee. He was responsible for TD Securities’ activities in North American merger arbitrage, proprietary technical trading, and Canadian convertible and index arbitrage. He received a BA (Chemistry) from Queen’s University in 1967 and the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors in 2008.

Tim Stockman (Vice President, Finance): has over 22 years of financial management and treasury experience. Prior to joining Kensington, Mr. Stockman was Vice President, Treasurer of Trilwood Investments Limited, a privately-owned company investing in small cap junior public, private companies and in private equity fund investments. He was a director of a group of privately held companies based in the Caribbean and before that the Treasurer of Matorca Inc. He holds an MA from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1977 and received his CA designation while with Thome Riddell, a predecessor of KPMG.

Elaine Turnbull (Manager, Administration): has over 20 years of financial administration experience. Ms. Turnbull has been with Kensington since its inception in 1996. Prior to joining Kensington, she was a research assistant in Equity Capital Markets at TD Securities, and in Securities Placement at Lancaster Financial Corp. She worked with the President at Bunting Warburg. She previously volunteered as a corporate fundraiser for LOFT Community Services.

Rhizza Yonzon (Controller): Rhizza has over 9 years of accounting, reporting, and auditing experience. Prior to joining Kensington, Rhizza was responsible for accounting and reporting for StorageTek Canada, a leader in Information lifecycle management solutions. Rhizza’s experience includes internal audit for Nortel, where she was involved with SOX compliance testing, and as an Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers where she worked with clients across a number of industries. Rhizza holds a B.A. in Accountancy from the University of Waterloo and is a Certified Management Accountant.

Suganya Tharmalingam (Assistant Controller): Suganya has 8 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting. Prior to joining Kensington, Suganya was with Deerfield Capital Management, Chicago based fixed-income investment adviser, responsible for all aspect of accounting and reporting. Prior to that Suganya was an accountant with FreeBalance, an Ottawa based global provider of software solutions for public financial management. Suganya holds a B.Com in Specialist Program in Management and Economics from the University of Toronto. Suganya is also Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified General Accountant (CGA).

Stephanie Bulhoes (Financial and Reporting Analyst): Prior to joining Kensington, Stephanie spent three years providing accounting services for an engineering consultant and two not-for-profit organizations. Stephanie holds a BBA with a Specialist in Management from the University of Toronto and is a Certified Management Accountant.

Brendan McBride (Analyst): Prior to joining Kensington, Brendan spent five months as a Junior Research Analyst at KPMG MSLP in Toronto. He holds a B.A from Dalhousie University (Dean’s List) as well as the CSC, and is currently a candidate for Level I of the CFA.

Ira Shiner, (Analyst): Prior to joining Kensington, Ira worked in the Investment Banking division of CIBC World Markets where he completed mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance transactions in the real estate sector. He has a BBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University and is a candidate for the Level II CFA.

William Sutherland (Analyst): Prior to joining Kensington, William worked in the Global Investment Banking division of RBC Capital Markets, where he most recently was an Associate in the Corporate Finance Energy Group in Calgary. William was also a member of the RBC ECM Generalist program where he spent two years with M&A, sales & trading and equity research groups both in Toronto and New York. In addition, William has operational, engineering design and risk management experience with numerous manufacturing and industrial companies, including Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America and Toyota Tsusho Canada. William, who is a professional engineer, also ran his own engineering consulting firm, serving numerous clients in the Ontario area. William holds a B.Sc.Eng from Princeton University (in both Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering), and an MBA from Queen’s University.

Ally O’Keefe (Media & Investor Relations): Prior to joining Kensington, Ally spent five years in the entertainment industry; working with high-profile artists and venues across the country, and two years as a political media consultant, advising Canadian politicians on media strategy. Ally holds a B.A. in American Studies from the University of Toronto and volunteers as an event and media coordinator for Breast Cancer Research and for the MS Society of Canada.

Anne Mendez (Reception & Reporting): Prior to joining the Kensington Team, Anne worked primarily in the field of education, spending five years working as an English as a Second Language teacher for S.E.L. Academy, where Anne worked closely with management to develop new curriculum and to lead on implementing the creation of assignments and examinations. Anne gained international experience working as a language instructor overseas in Asia and has previously worked at a Toronto-based law firm; gaining administrative experience in the real-estate industry. Anne has graduated from York University and holds a B.A. in Linguistics.
